The Midtown Residents Association, was formed in 1994 out of a concern for maintaining
the quality of life in our Midtown neighborhood. The Association, based in Palo Alto, Calif.,
is an active group of residents of Palo Alto's Midtown neighborhood. The Midtown
neighborhood is defined as the area from Oregon Expressway to East Meadow and from
Alma Blvd. to 101. All Midtown residents are encouraged to join and actively participate in
the Association.
The Association's key focus areas are:
- Traffic, parking, and pedestrian friendliness
- Physical appearance of the Midtown commercial area
- Scale, convenience, and variety of local businesses
- Neighborhood involvement in planning
- Neighborhood parks
Our priorities for 2012 are:
- Neighborhood Emergency Preparedness (block coordinator program and awareness)
- Neighborhood Parks (Hoover Park Art, Greer Park Shade Structures)
- Planning for the future – home environment, aging in place, green awareness
- Bicycle friendliness (e.g. 101 bike/ped overpass, safety, Ross Road)
